Come On Man...

This one might actually be regular... Basically all it'll be is me complaining about something that I think is ridiculous...

Inspiration for the name came from this section of Monday Night Football on ESPN. Except I'm gonna do more than American sports...

Music 2009.

Top Ten releases of 2009!

In no particular order, by the way...

Blood Bank - Bon Iver.

The track Blood Bank is worthy of a place on For Emma, Forever Ago, while the likes of Woods is an example of just what Justin Vernon is capable of...

Daisy - Brand New

Stand out tracks: Vices, Sink, You Stole, In a Jar, Noro... Alright, well that's half the album, but whatever.

Hospice - The Antlers

This album is just tragic... Bear, Epilogue and Wake are amazing.

Man on the Moon - Kid Cudi

Check it ALL out.

Them Crooked Vultures - Them Crooked Vultures

I might actually buy this album again just because of the breakdown in Nobody Loves Me, and Neither Do I.

Monsters of Folk - Monsters of Folk

Temazcal is the best thing Conor Oberst has done since White Shoes. Dear God was completely what I wasn't expecting, but delighted me nonetheless.

TRV$DJAM - Fix Your Face 2

Glorious remixing from start to end.

CODES - TreeDreamInAlgebra

Malfunctions (in particular the tambourine action in the live version), This is Goodbye and You Are Here are among my favourites on this.

Jamie T - Kings And Queens

Sticks and Stones IS being young. Captures it perfectly.

Thrice - Beggars

This one was slightly overshadowed by Brand New's Daisy, but I still gave it a good listen... The title track, Beggars, as well as Circles, All the World is Mad, and The Great Exchange were highlights for me.

Notables
Alexisonfire - Old Crows, Young Cardinals
Biffy Clyro - Only Revolutions
Arctic Monkeys - Humbug
Volcano Choir - Unmap
Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix
Tor - Illinoize
Regina Spektor - Far
Silversun Pickups - Swoon
Manchester Orchestra - Mean Everything to Nothing
Kevin Devine - Brother's Blood
Fever Ray - Fever Ray
Conor Oberst - Outer South

Now I'm actually having second thoughts about my list...

Here's to 2010 being just as good a year in music.
